How does Zhan Zhuang differ from other types of Chi Kung?
The definition of Chi Kung has become somewhat blurred in modern times. It is now something of an ‘umbrella’ term for a wide variety of exercises of Chinese origin.
Zhan Zhuang not only exercises the internal energy (or ‘chi’) but also cultivates it. This style is usually most easily distinguished from other forms of ‘Chi Kung’ by its stillness.
