Fitness and Conditioning (preparing the body for fighting) are elements that feature in the classes but are rarely the main focus.
The primary reason for this is that they take up time and yet can often be practiced outside of the class relatively easily.
Some of the conditioning lies within the forms or the basic drills anyway...
If you don't want to spend the class running circuits then don't worry, you won't need to. If you're looking for more conditioning then why not try the Zhan Zhuang class? It can provide a very tough form of internal conditioning for those whose bodies are ready for it... or be more laid back and gentle for those who aren't.
